A different shade of WHTE
Thursday

Today is relatively eventful. I had Joyce coming over to my house to paint the design for the T-shirt. Not too bad I must say. Don;t understand why u had to drop ART.

Anyway, I was wearing the yoga pants last time. Didn't realise that it's so baggie! At least 3 to 4 inches of my waist length. I don't think the sushi did help a bit. I'm scaring myself with the weight loss... which makes me lose more weight.
When I eat, I lose weight too.... [during exams esp] It would be scary to have the same diameter as MAtthew. This is way too scary!
I would be able to enter a straw soon... ARRRHH

Violin lesson is really tough. Though we are done with Edute. We are playing different variation of it... with the slurs and stargato dots everywhere... It's really amazing. I really hate it when the teacher plays those tunes and stares at me - so scary. He is really talented for a person his age, Jsut too bad is he is not performing! He can play the tunes from PLANTOM OF THE OPERA [I really like that musical] without scores.

Anyway, I nearly missed my bus stop whilst msging Luke - a little stress I guess..
[CALLING ALL THE GALS IN HIS LIFE - DO START CALLING HIM... ]
Alrite... enuff of my craziness!

The pissing thing is the lazar pointer guy is back again. A different one I guess. When I was working at DKNY, I used to have this crazy person who will use the lazar pointer and shine at me. Well, not that i need someone to 'light' up my life..! The guy or whoever is it is.. is not very skilled. He is so dumb as to point the light beem at my face. From there I could figure out where is he staying.. [stays behind my block] He shines thru the toliet window - which is really small.

- I'm guess that it must be a guy, cuz gals would not do such a thing!-

This is really another nut head. I really hope that this lazar pointing thingy will end here.
Why is the administrator flodding my email.. why can't it be another person? SIGH!

_A little something from my friend in SMU_____________

hey my dear frens,

it's the release of the exams and irregardless of whether we have done well or below our expectations, let us not forget to be proud and unbending in honest failure, but humble and gentle when we have achieved something, not to seek the path of comfort, and most importantly, to continue to have a Heart that is Clean and a Goal that is High..

cheers,
koonboon

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is no time to lose. I want us to take advantage of this new spirit. Don't let us waste this victory merely in ringing joybells. Let us make victory the motive power such that we will be nearer to sunshine than ever before.

We are in for rough weather. We may be even in for a winter of storms which will rock the forest, break many a withered branches, and leave many a rotten trees torn up by the roots. But I learnt as a child that it was little use going into the woods after a period of calm and fine weather, for I generally returned empty handed; but after a great storm, I always come back with an armful.

Our country calls not for the life of ease, but for the life of strenous endeavor. The 21st century looms before us. If we stand idly by, if we seek merely swollen, slothful, ease, and ignoble peace, if we shrink from the hard contests where men must win at hazard of their lives and at the risk of all they hold dear, then the bolder and stronger peoples will pass us by and will win for themselves the domination of the world. Let us therefore boldly face the life of strife, resolute to do our duty well and manfully; resolute to uphold righteousness by deed and by word; resolute to be both honest and brave, to secure our ideals, yet to use practical methods. Above all, let us shrink from no strife, moral or physical, provided we are certain that the strife is justified; for it is only through strife, through hard and dangerous endeavor, that we shall ultimately win the goal of true greatness.

To slacken the tempo would mean falling behind. And those who fall behind get beaten. But we do not want to get beaten. No, we refuse to be beaten! Such is the law of the exploiters - to beat the backward and the weak. It is the jungle law of capitalism. You are backward and weak - therefore you are wrong; hence you can be beaten and enslaved. You are mighty - therefore you are right; hence we must be wary of you. That is why we ust no longer lag behind. There is no other way. That is why Lenin said on the eve of the October Revolution: "Either perish, or overtake and outstrip them." We must make good this distance. Either we do it, or they crush us. The only thing lacking is the ability to make proper use of the possibilities. And that depends on us. Only on us! It is time we learned to make use of these possibilities. And when we have done that, we shall develop a tempo of which we dare not even dream at present. And we shall do it if we really want to.

We must be filled with an indomitable aggressive spirit, such that when an opponent says, "your behavior we regard as a provocation", we do not see fit immediatedly to retire from the scene but brutally enforces our will and hurls against the opponent the retort, "We fight today! We fight tomorrow!"

We have not come this far without a struggle, and I assure you we cannot go further without a struggle.

I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. You ask, what is our Aim? I can answer in one word: Victory - victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival. Let's take up our task with buoyancy and hope. Come then, let us go forward together with our united strength. If we fight to the end, it can only be glorious.

The achievements we celebrate today is but a step, an opening of opportunity, to the greater triumphs and achievements that awaits us. Are we brave enough and wise enough to grasp this opportunity and accept the challenge of the future? The past is over and it is the future that beckons to us now. That future is not one of ease or resting but of incessant striving so that we may fulfill the pledges we have so often taken and the one we shall take today. And so we have to labor and to work, and work hard, to give reality to our dreams.

This is a time for self-examination. This is a time for us to take stock. This is a time to decide where we are and where we are going. This is a time for virtues. We need fortitude, we need courage, we need justice. We need the virtue of tolerance. We need the virtue of forberance. We need the virtues of patience and understanding. This is a time for greatness.

The times demand invention, innovation, imagination, decision. I am asking each of you to be new pioneers on that New Frontier. Respond to the call: "Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed." For courage - not complacency - is our need today - leadership - not salesmanship. We can have faith in the future only if we have faith in ourselves. For the harsh facts of the matter are that we stand on this frontier at a turning point.
